Harison Place revitalizes a once-neglected site, transforming a block of dilapidated buildings into a vibrant, mixed-use development that enhances the neighborhood’s appearance and meets the area’s urgent housing needs. Working closely with the city and developers, our team created an inviting space that brings new life to downtown Malone, New York.
Located on Main Street, Harison Place offers 40 affordable apartments and five commercial spaces, providing housing for households earning 60 percent or less of the Area Median Income. Half of these units offer additional support services, made possible through the Empire State Supportive Housing Initiative (ESSHI) and administered by the New York State Office of Mental Health. Through Citizen Advocates, residents have access to comprehensive services, including mental health care, career training, financial planning, tenant education, life skills development, and healthcare coordination, all designed to foster personal stability and growth.
In addition to these essential services, residents at Harison Place enjoy amenities that enhance their quality of life, including a playground, laundry facilities, a community room, air conditioning in shared spaces, and high-speed broadband internet.
Harison Place stands as a model for affordable housing that blends community support with quality living spaces, adding both value and vitality to the heart of downtown Malone.
