The new Ska-na Spa & Salon at Turning Stone Resort & Casino in Verona, NY, is a luxurious 25,000-square-foot, two-story retreat attached to the Lodge Suites hotel. Connected by a bridge that includes serene meditation areas and views of a man-made waterfall and stream, this spa offers a tranquil escape that embodies both elegance and tradition.
ZFSA was responsible for the interior design of this fast-track project, including the selection and procurement of furnishings, artwork, and accessories, and overseeing their installation to ensure every detail contributed to the spa’s immersive atmosphere. Drawing inspiration from Oneida Indian heritage, the design of Ska-na reflects a deep connection to natural elements, promoting balance and relaxation throughout.
In addition to these essential services, residents at Harison Place enjoy amenities that enhance their quality of life, including a playground, laundry facilities, a community room, air conditioning in shared spaces, and high-speed broadband internet.
Guests are welcomed into expansive men’s and women’s locker rooms equipped with showers, whirlpools, steam rooms, saunas, and support facilities. The centerpiece is a co-ed, two-story whirlpool with a view of a private interior garden, as well as a VIP suite featuring its own dressing room, sauna, steam room, treatment area, and direct access to a gated garden for exclusive use. The spa also includes a health-focused specialty restaurant and a spacious salon offering a full range of treatments, from manicures and pedicures to hair styling and makeup. Every element of Ska-na Spa & Salon has been designed to create a calming, luxurious experience that reflects the spirit of the Oneida Nation.
